I think you should start a Costa Rican version of “Angie’s List”.
People are always looking for realtors, lawyers, plumbers, etc. I know you vet your advertisers, but I have always found personal recommendations (given a large enough quantity) to be very helpful.
I don’t think you would lose your advertisers. If they are as good as you say, they would appear highly recommended on the list as well.
I don’t have any paid advertisers – The only people recommended on this site are people I know and trust…
Having BigDog959 recommend a real estate project or an attorney means nothing really…
Could be his own company he’s recommending, his brother or some scumbag selling ocean view land without the ocean view…
Seems like this was discussed once before and not much came of it. I’m not surprised since those of us who live in Costa Rica are so scattered around the country and, therefore, tend not to use the same service providers. My plumber, for example, won’t do Scott much good in San Jose. And his electrician certainly isn’t going to go to maravilla’s in San Ramon.

David’s right. I think more and more of us are opting for the Pura Vida life and avoiding the American Gettos that prevailed previously.
