confusing article to say the least
I guess this means they made a mistake with the numbers
Recuento.

PS. If I have made a mistake with my maths, please do let me know…

being almost 70 years old and in jail here.. I bet lets say 50 years ago
if someone who could tell the future said to this guy
Buddy.. in 50 years from now you will wind up in a costa rican prison
he would never believe it :P:P
and for the look of things he probably came to this country like many americans do and try to do the right thing regarding transparency.. because there is no way he would have even mentioned that kind of money if he planned things accordingly
that is crazy 10 thousand dollars per month for child support.. does not make any sense
I wonder if this is indeed his child..
so he was 62 when he had this child..
hope he can get through this

February 11, 2014 at 4:14 pm #159957ImxploringParticipantAnother old fool that is now providing a “pension” to his baby’s momma and her entire family… including the boyfriend she most like had the entire time she was in “love” with the rich Gringo.
I’m guessing she’ll be living in his house and taking over his business in short order. At least at 68 years old he doesn’t have to worry about the retirement crisis… the good people of CR will be providing lodging, meals, and healthcare… all free of charge… be it inside a jail cell!
You see the same thing over and over again here… yet people never learn. They say love is blind… but they never add deaf, dumb, and sometimes outright stupid!
February 12, 2014 at 4:41 pm #159958ImxploringParticipantSeems another “older” Gringo enjoying the company of a much younger women in CR has had a bad outcome. This time the “victim” was murdered near La Fortuna. Seems they let his 30 year old lady friend go however… why would they leave a witness to murder? Hmmmmm.
I’m sure there’s more to the story just as there is with the poor fellow being extorted for $10,000/Month.
Word to the wise… be VERY careful with new relationships in CR… the scenery is nice and very attractive… and can be VERY inviting… but there’s snakes in the grass that can cause a lot of pain or death if you’re not careful.
February 13, 2014 at 2:02 pm #159959daviddMemberthis obviously has alot more to this story as all stories do.
just kill a guy and no money was taken??
but your right about being cautious especially with such an age gap.
When I move about I am always aware of my surroundings.. and if I personally came across this scenario I would IMMEDIATELY assume the worse. which is why you should have some training and be armed.
One does have the right to defend themselves regardless of what the liberal wankers all cry about.
this poor guy looked like he never had a chance..
last week around 9pm.. someone broke into our guest house.. my neighbor called me and she said she heard someone around.. as i hung up the phone I went to go outside when I heard a crash of a window Paine.. the idiots tried to dismount a sliding door and it shattered.. i came out and shot off about 20 rounds.. ( not to hit them but in the ground) one never seen anyone run so fast..
I could see the outlines of the street lamps as they took off.. I doubt the will come back.
Called police and made a report.. one cop asked if I took some shots.. I said yes.. he said good..
🙂
