My wife and I are living in Tarcoles and we are looking to meet some other expats in the area: Herradura, Jaco, Quebrada Ganado? She is going to start taking Spanish classes in Jaco to learn better speaking and hopefully meet some people but I am looking for info on where else we can meet younger expats. The Bars seem to be all full of sunburned tourists…
Cheers all,
Damon
I would probably start with Liana Robinson. Liana started the library here, our only and very first. It is next to the patio bar, beatle bar, and behind century 21. She does teach spanish and english classes there and does a lot of projects with children of Jaco, also tutoring with others. Americans own the larger restaurants for the most part her. los amigos, hotel poseidon, jaco taco, sunrise bella, those are places where you will see Americans and other english speaking customers. there is a big celebration for the 4th of july at jaco taco that a lot of people attend. hope this helps. the library facebook page is bibliotecadejaco
