Hi there! My family and I have been dreaming of visiting Costa Rica for a long time and we soon finally have the opportunity – but my concern is if I can buy infant formula (baby milk) for my daughter on the caribbean side and what about diapers ? We´re going to travel along the coast starting in Cahuita and will be travelling too long to bring it from back home:D
Hope someone here can help me answearing this:)..thanksAny pharmacy and most any grocery store will have formula. Even in the smallest of towns. If in doubt be sure to grab a few cans when you are at the store that does have it. Diapers too.
All the farmacias carry it, but your best deal is at Hipermas, unless you are a member (or know a local expat member) of PriceSmart in Escazu next to CIMA Hospital. It is easily found evn in the smallest towns, including Similac or Enfamil. They carry it at the MegaSuper in Puerto Viejo south of Cahuita too.
