Does anyone know if there are any Retina Specialists in Costa Rica. I am not referring to your basic run of the mill Opthamologist but specifically an Opthamologist that is specialty trained in diseases of the Retina such as Macular Degeneration or Diabetic Retinopathy. Thx.
I would recommend Dr. Randell Ulate His office is in Liberia but he also works out of Clinica Biblica.
He has performed two pterygium surgeries on friends of ours, cataract surgery on another friend, plus he performed Lazik surgery on me,
And I can recommend Dr. Paul Flikier Z. who has a general opthamological practice but may be able to refer you if what you need is outside his area of expertise. His English is very good and he’s a very attentive and patient physician. He practices at CIMA Hospital and also at his own clinic in downtown San Jose. His number at CIMA is: 2208-1703.
I am not exactly sure of her specialty but my friend George Lundquist believes his eye Doctor “walks on water…”
George tells me if “Jesus had an eye Doctor, it would be…”
Dr. Iris Chin at Hospital CIMA 2208-1701
