what’s the reason we can’t copy paste anything from this site?
it is just a chat forumcan’t even paste anything we have written ourselves
i am presently on 6 boards some of which have much more sensitive info and have never seen this
just wondering
February 2, 2010 at 1:02 pm #170480jdocopMembernot sure what you want to copy or paste, but I have no trouble if I want to do so……meanwhile, wouldn’t that question be better addressed to the Administrator of the site?
Or, are you referring to the many articles and links from the home page?
Those are proprietary, I believe.February 2, 2010 at 1:40 pm #170481AndrewKeymasterI copy from Notepad or another simple text editor (where I normally type up my posts) and paste into the Discussion Forum nearly every time I post so the problem is not the forum.

You are free to email any Discussion Forum information you wish to someone for private use – not commercial use.
What wouldn’t work obviously is to email them the URL because they cannot access it unless they are registered as a member – which most forums require.
Having said that, standard membership (including access to the Discussion Forum) on WeLoveCostaRica.com is simple, fast and free so if they couldn’t be bothered registering, I would suggest they’re probably not going to be that interested in the contents…

hmmmmmmm……..strikes me that perhaps you could stand to make use of your own PC’s (or, are you using a Mac?) Help and Support system. Notepad is a standard inclusion in most Windows applications that allows one to quickly and painlessly create documents. Smaller than Wordpad, but much like it. Just go to your start (or, in Vista & prolly Win7, the windows logo at the bottom, left of your screen. Click on it, and look for Help and Support, then click on that………ask it anything you want……..you’ll be amazed (if you’ve never done this before) at the vast information you can find.
February 2, 2010 at 3:25 pm #170486DavidCMurrayParticipantOn my iMac, Command-C and scroll-down copies anything.
Command-V pastes it. In a new location.
I’m sure I remember a similar function from Windows XP and its predecessors although I’m trying hard to forget.
February 2, 2010 at 3:26 pm #170487maritimerMemberyes macbook i tried a few different ways to copy paste a few different conversations from the discussion forum onto my email it worked until i hit send so i figured there may be a security block guess the problem is me and this thread is useless thank you for the feedback and sorry for wasting your time
February 2, 2010 at 3:53 pm #170488*LotusMemberTry pasting it into word or a similar program first.
