OK!! I will bite on this one. Of course Scott makes money out of his web site in terms of commisions, recommending realtors. I know this but what is your “POINT”. Is he mking DIRTY money because he is connected to some people with money in Costa Rica?, then prove it.
That people don’t like his book seems like a big issue to you but is that a CRIME!!!
That he CLAIMS to be a Royal Commando. Lived in New York and got a divorce?? Moved to the Cayman island and then to Costa Rica?
Show me some legal documents where he was charged and found GUITY of stealing anything since 1988 to the present or I will think you have an AX to grind.

carlito, had you bothered to check, you’d have learned that this matter has been discussed and dispensed with in this forum a couple of times in the past. Or maybe you did.
So the question one must pose is, “What’s your point?”
If you have a complaint about how Scott Oliver’s behavior has affected you personally, let’s hear it. Otherwise, why not find something meaningful to carp about. There’s plenty of material out there.

Carlito didn’t mention that I have in common with Senator Hillary Clinton, Senator Bob Dole, Governor George Pataki and Scott Oliver?
If you dig deep enough, you will find slanderous allegations on the internet about me – Scott Oliver – allegedly owning his own bank and a few other accusations but, the source is a sensational internet tabloid site which can offer no proof because there isn’t any.
If you do a search on the same OffshoreAlert website that mentions Scott Oliver, you’ll find other sensational headlines like “United States Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and Governor George Pataki after they teamed up with suspected fraudster Jerry C. Nims whose Bermuda-based business failures have cost investors millions of dollars”.
You will also find Senator Bob Dole mentioned as “caught up in a criminal investigation into an alleged fraud.” You might note that always present language of ‘suspected’ and ‘alleged’.

This anonymous person obviously knows that slander, libel and defamation are criminal offences in Costa Rica and not just civil offences as they are in the USA because he uses different names and hides behind a variety of anonymous email addresses.
A few years ago, when it first began, we assumed that it was just some pathetic little human being who obviously had far too much time on his hands and perhaps didn’t like the fact that we had refused to recommend his real estate project – who knows? Who cares why?
The various accusations against me are absurd and completely untrue.
I think we can all appreciate that “if” anybody was convicted of “massive bank fraud” or any other serious financial crime in a highly regulated jurisdiction like the Cayman Islands as has been suggested, this would be very easy to prove because it ‘allegedly’ happened in 1999 and anyone could check with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, the Cayman Islands News newspapers or any of a dozen different sources…
But nobody can prove this because, you never will find any evidence of any kind. Scott Oliver has never even been questioned by any of the authorities anywhere in the world about any kind of fraud because there never was one.
As attorney Roger Petersen says: “The only defense for a defamation action is that the statement is true.” And what he is saying about me being involved in “massive bank fraud” and a “career criminal” and “under investigation” is absolutely not true.

Here is written proof below from the Cayman Islands Police dated 10th August 2006 stating that: “This is to certify that there are no convictions recorded in the Criminal record of these Islands against the bearer, Scott OLIVER…”

The Cayman Islands Police do not issue a 100% squeaky clean Police Report for anyone that has been convicted of a crime.
What is not mentioned in those misleading internet headlines is that the American man (from Austin, Texas) who formed the bank that was allegedly “part of a major fraud”, named me on his website as a ‘Director’ of his bank without my permission and certainly without my knowledge.

its amazing now that anyone with a free email address and some anom proxys can be whoever they want to be and try and damage reputations by slander.
and they leave it upon ourselves to waste time and actually respond to these imbeciles. in cases I have experience these little events can easily escalate into big viral propaganda and actually cause harm to people reps. there is a business created from this called [b]”reputation management”[/b] which is part of what my firm offers.
companies pay me to monitor companies business online reputation so any info that is released can be addressed accordingly because one thing is certain in todays internet world
you have to address this right away. scott addressed this right away.. good for you. but many people choose to ignore these types of things because the general consensus is that its somehow beneath them and untrue so why bother.

facebook, twitter, youtube.. its no wonder that anyone can actually take a crap without it being on twitter or facebook.

Scott: that is not a good idea, let it rain for the rest of legitimate people that post here. IF you make it inactive for whatever reason it will throw shadows into this issue.
