Politically Correctness has hit a new high (low), Subway announced in the UK that they will only serve Halal approved bacon to apease the Muslims….wow.

So being a Christian, I should demand that Subway offer non halal meat for me. You, again, completely miss the point behind the post and story. I will try and explain it to you (not sure it will help), the point is that special interest groups, not only in the UK, but in the US, demand special treatment from businesses who don’t have an obligation to cater to them, but by caving to the demands, it affects others. So its ok to demand as long as those who demand get what they want with no regard for how that affects others. I will choose to no longer eat at Subway. Instead of trying to get my way, I will take my business elsewhere, just as the Muslims should have done. Shame on Subway, why would you demand to a business to cater to you rather than find a place that offers what you want, or venture into a halal only chain.

Kwhite1, just for the purpose of clarification there is no such thing as “halal” bacon … all pig/pork products are forbidden in the Muslim diet. And, I do agree … this is yet another example of political correctness going too too far.

You seem to ackowledge that this decision applies to Subway restaurants in the UK and Ireland only. So let me recap: You, a citizen of the US and a resident of Belize is demanding that resturants in countries you neither reside in nor have citizenship in serve meats that YOU approve of because catering to the ACTUAL patrons of those restaurants is wrong. Again, you miss the point or just refuse to accept it. I will try to explain again with my best crayons…..the WORLD has opted to bow down to small special interest groups that affect the majority. If I only wanted Kosher foods, then I would go to a place that offers kosher foods, not demand that McDonalds only serve Kosher foods from now on.

Name one republic that has not gone bad. (corruption)
Name me one capitalist system that has not gone bad.(corruption)Blaming system failure on ignorance is silly because the system is designed by elites for controlling the ignorant. If you remove ignorance, the systems would be useless and would disappear because they would no longer work as control mechanisms.
You make the same near sighted mistake that many make. You are stuck with a failing system and you think that if you just tinker with components and educate the slaves, there will be a miraculous change and the system will start working as designed (forgetting the real intent of the design in the first place)
It never works. You change politicians, laws and regulations but you always end up with the same results. What is needed is a complete change of systems, not a tinkering and restructuring of proven failures like capitalism.
Dump monetary based economies and use resource based economies.
