Greetings to all;
I’m looking at the “Rosetta Stone” language series for Spanish. They have two spanish coarses, (Spanish-Spain and Spanish-Latin America). IS the diffence that great that I should get the Latin America as I look to future travels and living way south of the boarder?
Thanks;

Yes it’s -31 below today!
I would say definitely get the Latin American version. Not only is the pronunciation significantly different, but a lot of the vocabulary and idiom are very different.
I can highly recommend http://www.learnspanishtoday.com the lessons are by Dave Clark who also has a column on this web site. I have been taking his lessons for a couple of years ( after trying numerous other courses) and have found this to be the best. I am not fluent, but I can at least converse with my Tico friends.
