    We are planning a trip to CR next december during christmas. Plan is to travel from mal pais to south of Jaco sometime near christmas via paquera ferry (unless there is a faster way via car). Does anyone know if the ferry runs christmas eve. (dec. 24th) or on christmas day?

    Any information would be greatly appreciated for planning purposes.

    best (and easiest) way to get from Malpais to Jaco is the Zuma Tours water taxi from Montezuma to Jaco. Its 45 minutes and leaves from the main beach in Montezuma. They can also arrange for a rental car to meet you once you get to Jaco. See http://www.zumatours.net
