First of all, thanks in advance for any information you may give me:
I have traveled extensively over the past few years throughout Costa Rica (my wife is a Tica), and have purchased land there with the plans of spending my twilight years there. Some of my family as well as some members of my church want, after listening to my stories of how wonderful it is, to explore the possibilities of moving there. We are planning a trip to explore some of the possible areas that they could purchase. Could you guys please assist me with information about various developments we could visit? Again, Thank you.
Chris
There are many developments featured on this website that have been thoroughly checked by our attorneys and myself. These are experienced developers with a proven track record of delivering a quality product in Costa Rica.

Thanks, Scott!! Once again your on the ball.
I’ve looked at the developments. In particular, do you know of any in the “zona norte” near the Arenal, Tilaran, Ciudad Quesada?
This area has been featured in La Nacion recently because there has been many unauthorised developments – meaning people are building without the necessary permits.
The main cause for concern is that Arenal is a VERY important area as it holds so much of the water that Costa Rica drinks and needs to generate it’s electricity.
There have also been reports of dramatically increased pollution in the lake too which is not good.
I have investigated a couple of the developers in this area but chose NOT to represent them.

Wow, any specifics on why you chose not to represent them?
Sorry cp1436 but for legal reasons we really can’t go into the details about why we decline to represent projects…
For the most part, there is a lack of proven experience, on occasions, something’s ‘not quite right,’ sometimes a developer is building property that our VIP Members are simply not interested in and once in a while there are personalities that we would prefer not to be involved with …
