Being Bilingual has its advantages. Look at the study http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16611042
It may delay the onset of Alzheimers by up to 4 years if you are fluent in two or more languages.
Here’s a joke I’m sure most have heard:
What do you call a person who speaks two languages?… Bilingual. A person who speaks two or more languages?…Multi-lingual. A person who speaks one language?…a Gringo.
So, if you are considering visiting or moving to Costa Rica it is to your benefit to learn Spanish.

Scott, Did you see Friday’s AMCR? Same as what you said the other day about the more Spanish you learn the more English you forget.
I did see it and am delighted to know that my ‘perception’ was correct but, now I’m a little sad in thinking that perhaps I have forgotten more English than I thought….
Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
