hi,
I’ve been told there are some folks from the fl keys working on a project with canals that they have gotten permission for and may have started digging the canals Does anyone have any info on the name and where this project is.
I am guessing its the river that the bridge crosses past parrita. I have always thought abour quepos but it is now to crowded for me. thanks
I have not personally heard anything about this but would appreciate if you could be more specific… What are these ‘canals’ for exactly?

I don’t what what they are talking about in this post, but, I do know many years ago in Florida especially on the West Coast developers built canals from the landside of the intercoastal inward and then built homes on the canals so you could dock a small to medium size boat at your house now you could navigate through the canals to the Gulf/Ocean. This was a long term project and increased the value of the inland land.

Hola, and yes these canals would allow a small boat with ocean
access atlthough very tide and shoal dependent. A friend who flys
with aa and lives on a finca west of quepos was telling me and
the idea of a non-marina solution is interesting. He said they
were allowed to build canals becuse of their past projects. I
could be off a little bit north or south but there are only the
2 rivers I could think of close.
