Could someone please help me?
What is the best source for info regarding real estate appreciation–percentages by zones in Costa Rica, or something like that?
I’ve read various articles stating that in the last 2 years the Arenal, Tamarindo y Grecia/Atenas areas have appreciated 20% per year.
That means that if that appreciation level continues, in 5 years you would double your initial investment.
Other articles state that the overall appreciation level in Costa Rica is 10% per year–at that level of appreciation one would double the initial investment in 10 years.
Who could help provide that sort of information?
Could someone point me in the right direction, or could someone recommend a reputable realtor?
There is no source in Costa Rica that can give you this information.
You can get construction numbers from the Camara de Construccion (paid membership and personal interview/application required) but as for real estate appreciation is concerned in different areas, whomever you speak with (including me) would be guessing.
