I was thinking about this Jardines de los Ensuenos project in Jaco but was down there last week and took photographs of the project and there is NOTHING.
Does anybody know if anything is happening with this project or is it dead?
Scott Oliver – have you visited this project?
July 23, 2007 at 5:23 pm #185375AndrewKeymasterNo I have not visited the project.
Would you please email me the photographs you have?

WeLoveCostaRica.comJuly 23, 2007 at 6:16 pm #185376AndrewKeymasterThank you for the photos although I must admit to being a bit confused… In Trevor’s May newsletter we clearly see photographs of a home being built, are you sure that you took these photographs at the right location?

WeLoveCostaRica.comJuly 23, 2007 at 10:25 pm #185377mysticmaidenMemberAs far as I know Trevor is waiting on the Health Ministry’s approval. They have permission to build one building which is currently under construction. I am told that they expect this permit anytime now. Would love to hear from other buyer’s just to compare notes.
July 25, 2007 at 10:27 am #185378*LotusMemberIt would be interesting to get some current news on this project, especially since Trevor was so vocal about how everyone but him didn’t know how to build..lol. I thought it was a bit unfair the way he lambasted developers on his site even going as far as taking video and pointing out all there “shabby” workmanship. It has been at least two years since this project started and when I was in Jaco last December very very little was done and the site was empty except for a couple of workers milling around. Projects he bashed in the past are now done, guess they are learning the hard way it takes more than talk and and a lot of promises to finish a project in Costa Rica. That said I hope they get the thing done it does look quite nice and the ideas behind it are sound. Good luck to all those who bought in!
August 27, 2007 at 10:55 am #185379*LotusMemberSo what happened with this project? Is it being built any one out there that reserved a unit?
August 27, 2007 at 4:17 pm #185380mysticmaidenMemberI have just learned that the final step for the “permiso” is now in the hands of the municipality and they expect approval within a week. The first building is built (the outside structure).
August 27, 2007 at 8:29 pm #185381*LotusMemberWow it has really taken a long time to sort this out! There has not been an update on there website for almost 3 months and everyone else is building like crazy. Someone at a real estate company there thought the project went under. Is the building finished or still just a shell? Did you buy a unit MM and is that how you get your info?
August 27, 2007 at 9:38 pm #185382mysticmaidenMemberYes the first building is a shell and slated to be their offices. I bought a unit there and am still waiting. Some developers chose to pay the chorizo and apparently thats how they greased the wheels. I get my info direct from the developers.
August 28, 2007 at 12:07 am #185383*LotusMemberIt has really taken them a long time 3 years since I first heard about it and those shells have been that way since 11/2006 and there original projection(according to there web site) was 46 units finished by November 2007. Perhaps it was there lack of experience and knowledge of building in Costa Rica as well. Good luck, if they do what there web page promises it looks like a real nice project. I for one will be surprised if it gets built. Seems like every few months someone comes on this forum and says the permits are coming any day…
September 25, 2007 at 8:46 pm #185384CinfelMemberHi Mysticmaiden, Any update on this project? It has been about a month since we last heard that they were getting their permits. I came very close to purchasing with this company and have been trying to follow their progress. It has been about 5 months since there was an update on their own website and their bulletin board seems to be down. It sounded like a great project, but progressing a little slower than originally predicted.

March 27, 2008 at 2:18 pm #185385AlfredoMemberSo what’s up? Has anybody heard anything about where Trevor Chilton is? The people I know say he has disappeared off the face of the earth, is thast true? Did he p*** off the wrong investor?
April 1, 2008 at 8:15 pm #185386CinfelMemberNot sure what else Trevor has been up to but just located this link
http://realestate.escapeartist.com/P-2010472/ to some property that is in Escuza that he is the contact for selling. See the upper right corner of the ad. I guess he is still in Costa Rica, and up to selling empty dreams yet again. I pity the soul that buys into this new venture considering how “Gardens of Dreams” in Jaco has panned out.April 2, 2008 at 12:06 pm #185387AlfredoMemberI emailed the response on that advertisement and received this:

Charles,
Thank you for your inquiry. As per your request.
Yes we are the owners it is in my wife’s name Ana Isabel Venegas Arce and the folio is 1-308101-001.
I have attached an appraisal on a portion of the 4.5 ha that makes up the entire property so that you see the property has also be checked over and valued by a bank approved appraiser.
I also have attached some more pictures so you can have a better idea of what our incredible view is like.
Feel free to ask any further questions you may have.Regards,
Trevor Chilton
