I noticed that several of the preseason NFL games are available on NFLN.
Anybody know where one can access this network in CR?

In the fall of 2005, we subscribed to DirecTV LATIN AMERICA which originates from Argentina. As their customer, we were able to buy the NFL package. The company in Costa Rica which represents DirecTV Latin America has recently announced that it is changing its programming source to a company called “Sky TV” or somesuch. This was reported in _Tico_Times_ in the past month. Dunno what they’ll offer.

The technician came on Sunday and switched me from DirecTV to Sky. They do have the NFL Network. And they confirmed that they will offer the “Sunday Ticket” package where you can see any game you want.

Also they have 60 or so additional channels, particularly Deutsche Welle and BBC World are now included in the “Universe” package, which is pretty much the same price I was paying before.

The process was pretty painless, they only switch the box and redirect the dish. But have your magnifying glass handy, because there were a lot of papers to fill out with very small letters ! And you need a copy of your passport or residency card, so you might as well do it now.

In the U.S., DirecTV and Dish Network have websites that show their programming packages. Does Sky have such a website? I’d like to know in advance how many of their channels are in English and what they’re actually broadcasting on those channels.
