I would like to know more on CR gun laws.I have read the current information posted.I assume you have the right to defend yourself during a break-in of your home(home invasion) but if you legally have a concealed weapons permit what actually happens by law if you have to defend yourself on the street,in the car, etc.I am totally disabled and cannot physically defend myself at least only to a point..tks
I am NOT an attorney and I doubt if an attorney would even post his opinions on something as ‘grey’ as this ‘face to face’ never mind in a Discussion Forum but, normally it boils down to whether you believe your life is in danger or not.
If you are “totally disabled” (I am not sure what the legal definition of that is in Costa Rica), then the option of running away from ‘trouble’ may not be open to you and you would probably be able to defend yourself in a manner that might be considered aggressive by a fit and able person…
As always, I would encourage you to consult with an experienced Costa Rica attorney on this matter.
