Hi!
This site is terrific. It’s great to get so many excellent viewpoints. I am seriously thinking of moving to CR soon although I have never been there I have visited and lived in Belize 7 times. Belize is too hot and lacks infastructure. I see a massive sunami of population explosion headed our way at warp speed and no one seems to be aware of it which means an enevitable castrophie. Yes we are talking servival now and food and water will soon be of paramount concern. Actually it already is. Being dependant on the super market is slavery and feasting on poison. I just want my garden thankyou very much.
You will (unfortunately) find a few people who will agree on your vision of the future triceretops
Welcome to WeLoveCostaRica.com!
I haven’t been to Belize since some rather arduous jungle warfare exercizes with the Ghurkas in 1979 (I think it was)…. And it was certainly hot yomping around the jungle then.
Hopefully you will find what you are looking for amongst the nearly 2,000 articles we have listed but please do use the ‘Search’ facility on the site for articles as well as in the Forum – that’s two different seraches.

Thankyou Scott for the reply. I have your book on Real Estate. Very good. It’s good to communicate with someone. Actually I am a hermit living in the wilderness of Idaho in a subdivision. It’s very beautiful here but the neahbors are smoking me out with the woodstoves. They are all Bush lovers which doesn’t suit me at all. I am more of a retired hippie and at 67 yr. I am retired. I read 4 other books on CR. as well and I fly over CR. most every day with ‘ Flight Assimilator’ software. Can you tell me what is the rate of interest on the best bank acct. in CR and do they provide ATM service? Also if I transfered a large sum of money to CR. what would be the best way to do that?

Please explain ‘why’ exactly you would want to transfer a “large sum of money” to a very small country in Central America…?

There are ATMs all over Costa Rica. They all have English language interfaces, so you’ll feel right at home.
If your ATM/debit card has the Plus or Cirrus logo on the back, it’ll work seamlessly in the Costa Rican ATMs. And the Costa Rican banks do not charge ATM fees!
