We are building a house up in the windy and cloudy clutches of Poas Volcano, and this years weather especially has convinced us of the need for a gas stove.
Since most of the country is relatively temperate, we are having trouble locating stores that carry modern, gas fired stoves for heating (but not a furnace). Might consider wood as last resort, but want Gas for the efficiency.
Almost certainly this would be an import… but EPA has few (ugh) choices. Everyone else gives us a funny look. A heater !
Has anyone seen or know anyone else who may know about GAS heating here in CR
Thanks so much in advance!
Try the M&N store in San Pedro, which is a ‘True Value franchise and even sell snow brushes!
When we came to CR over 8 years ago, this was the only place to purchase many electrical outlets, wiring, etc. We were in there the other day and bought a particular Mobil oil that nowhere else carried.
We have friends who installed gas logs in two fireplaces in their home, for heat, of course. They imported them from the U.S. because they couldn’t find them here.
