I have been approached by someone who is interested in selling his lot in this resort area overlooking the ocean…Doea anyone have any inside information that could help shape my decison?
Thank you.
A few basic questions spring to mind ….
How many square meters exactly?
What is the proposed sales price?
Have you actually personally visited the property and stood on it?
Have you checked the title? And know exactly who owns it? And the title conforms there are no problems? And confirms the size of the property?
How much of the land is buildable?
Are there restrictions on the size of the home that can be built in this area?
Is there water on the property?
Is there electricity on the property?

One more question… is it within the Maritime zone?
And what about telephone service and Internet access?
Guanacaste has alot of great areas for sale. Prices are $20 to $25 ocean view outside the Sanctuary. Follow what Scott has said and you will be fine. Make sure you have water rights. If you do not have water or rights you can not get a building permit.
Thank you everyone for your advice…I have not been in the area, although have traveled to Costa Rica in the past and loved it. I just e-mailed the owner of the two lots…hope to give you the additional information soon.
Thanks again for your wisdom.
