Does either service work in Costa Rica?.
Last year after a visit to Canada we brought our Sirius Satellite equipment to Costa Rica. We live in Playa Chiquita which is close to Panama and we could not receive anything, it may be that we are too far South.
I subscribe to Sirius on my laptop, plug in my wireless speaker box and voila, have perfect Sirius radio.
I was talking about the in car radio working there.
Three years ago I took my XM radio with me on a trip to Costa Rica. I was on the Nicoya at Playa Negra. The radio worked in my rent a car when I was right at the beach. The signal was ok, not great but it pull in a signal with just the small magnetic antenna. Once away from the beach the signal faded quickly.
As far as I know the car radio wont work there. This is according to my “geek” son-in-law.Too far south or some such thing. I am not really up on this high tech stuff.
I called Sirius/XM but they couldn’t tell if it would work or not, that is usually a good sign it’s not going to.
Anyway thanks everyone for your input!!!
