    Hi……..anybody know the status of the new highway from Jaco to SJ airport? I heard it was to open soon.

    The most recent article is at [ https://www.welovecostarica.com/public/2263.cfm ] and as you can see the new highway does NOT go to the airport.

    Thanks Scott, I can see that. It does look like one can get off and cut over to the airport. Should save some time but not sure how much if we have to go to Caldera since we are heading south to Esterillos Oste and then Dominical. The good news is we will be starting in SJ since we will attend a ARCR mtg 1st.

    Your best news is that the road from Quepos to Dominical is 80% complete. I went from Quepos to Dominical today in 35 minutes.

    Wow that sure beats the drive I had this past June. Where have they completed up to? Or where is there still the dirt road? Are there still any single lane bridges?
