I have four rattan and wrought-iron chairs that need re-doing does anyone know of a business in San Jose that does this kind of work. A friend of mine got her chairs done in the fake(plastic)rattan and they look great but she didn’t keep the address of the business….Thanks Janice

If your friend had her chairs repaired a few years ago, the company went out of business….

Why would you want plastic? We have friends who brought rattan furniture from the States 10 years ago and it still looks terrific. The plastic ‘rattan’ I have seen is very expensive and looks far less durable than the real thing.

Real rattan will not stand up well to very humid conditions, but in my opinion, will look much nicer for a shorter time period.
Friends of ours purchased all of the ‘ previously mentioned company’, remaining stock…

This person specializes in re-doing woven rattan furniture. We live on the Caribbean and the real rattan breaks down fast although much preferable I believe….J
