I am in the process of purchasing property in CR and my attorney recommended setting up a corporation. Since I already have a US corporation would it be advisable to transfer the shares from my CR corporation to my US corporation?
No, no, no. Keep those matters separate! If you should ever have to do business in one country or the other, the presence of assets in the other country will only complicate things unnecessarily.
If you are relying on asking this question on a forum I’m very concerned you are not dealing with a reputable realtor and/or recommended attorney.
David is absolutely right, but more importantly follow the most important tip that this site advises and find yourself some professionals to ensure your transaction is safe and secure!
