I am trying to plan a concert for a highly recognized country artist in Canada. Any suggestions as to where there would be a venue large enough to hold a concert with 750-1000 people? A resort in Guanacaste would be idea as I believe that there would be a large concentration of Canadians in the are, expats, snowbirds, and vacationers. Thanks for your suggestions.
why not A 3 night type event?
theirs the Doce Lunas in Jaco,I’ve seen several reggae/reggaetone shows there,it’s A nice compound.housing, resturaunt, pool, large covered area, and then opens to a patio, then yard area.
it held easily 600 people for A show.they did their own promotion.
you could do the Guanacaste thing, then Jaco, then Quepos area.
I know nothing about them or venues, just a thought.
any of the hastily constructed rodeo areas “will seat” several hundred people, and the larger ones could easily “seat” 750 or so – – – the question then becomes if you actually had that many people “sitting”, would it “hold” them.
The question then becomes lighting, banos, Cruz Rofa, stretchers, etc.
I what about the futbol stadium in Liberia?
I have also heard of a venue just outside of Tamarindo that has large horse shows and concerts – don’t know the capacity. I’m not sure but it may be at Hacienda Pinilla, or near by. Some friends of mine went to a concert, horse show and BBQ there.

You may be talking about Black Stallion Hills, there is a lot of area there, but nothing set up seating wise for that many people.
There really are no venues here that are set up. Except Club Vertigo. Everything Else you have to build the stage and seating and lights and sound. Good luck. I know a guy who has been in the production business for 30 years and he wants me to help him do a concert here. Too much work and you have to pay taxes on the event up front – then there is the muni to deal with. Costa Rica is not Biz-Friendly. Remeber the old CR saying: better to ask forgiveness than permission. Then you may actually accomplish something here….
