Costa Rica Healthcare for Military Veterans

In order to better serve the medical needs for a growing number of military veterans living in Costa Rica, Hospital Clinica Biblica has launched its very own military medical program for military retirees and qualified family members.

The hospital’s goal is to offer the very best medical care for U.S. Military Retirees, Active Duty Members, and Veterans with Service Connected disabilities.

They are doing this by giving Tri Care eligible patients access to top of the line medical technology and the finest doctors in the country, all of which are centrally located in one medical complex.

The program was officially launched in July of 2004 and has been modeled after a very successful program at a private hospital in Panama where several key members of the hospitals staff spent time in training.

Hospital Clinica Biblica, established in 1929, has a rich tradition of serving the medical needs of those living in Costa Rica.

It is a full service hospital capable of providing a level of service on par with major medical institutions in the United States and is affiliated with Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans and Mount Sinai in Miami.

Clinica Biblica also offers fast and personalized care through our Tri Care program staff and 24 hour Call Center. It has a 24 hour pharmacy allowing patients to get their medication at any time of the day and hopes to provide this service in the near future at its satellite pharmacies. All services are on site so veterans have no need to go anywhere else for treatment.

Patients can schedule same-day appointments with a highly skilled specialist without having to see a general practitioner first. In addition to providing rapid service, Clinica Biblica personalizes it as well.

The hospital staff prides itself in giving excellent customer care and adapting to meet any special needs a patient may have, such as delivering medications to patients’ homes.

The TRI CARE Program is coordinated through the hospital’s International Insurance Department (‘Seguros Extranjeros’) located in the hospitals’ new Omega Medical Tower on the 5th floor. The staff is bilingual and eager to serve you.
