Costa Rica Construction – Keep Yourself Informed
Find Out What’s Happening with Your New Home without Visiting the Site
Normally you have to visit the site where your new home is being built in order to inspect ongoing work.
But when other obligations fill your time and written reports are not satisfactory, some developers now invite you to visit your building on line.
Nevertheless, developers insist that on-site visits with a professional are still very important.
In addition, be sure you have a reputable contractor with good references.
Key Visits: Experts recommend visiting the site during different stages of construction. The first is when the building is mapped out on site. The next would be during soil preparation. Different processes are used depending if it is natural land or land-fill. With land fill you must be especially sure that you have good foundations.
The next visit would be when concrete is being poured. And finally visit when the finishings are being applied. Verify the detail of each stage of construction. That way, when the house is delivered you will be confident that every aspect of the house has been managed adequately.
Experts say that many clients pay no attention to the details and then run into massive outlays for errors that should have been caught earlier.
Virtual Aid: One company is now offering special services to those clients who see time as their worst enemy.
FRP technology in Construction lets clients know about their home by accessing a Web page.
The client can access information about the construction from any computer. The page has three areas of information:
- The first is administration with names and telephone numbers, plans, documents, etc., all pertaining to the building.
- The second link offers open communication between the company and the client.
- And a third shows photographs of the work taken every three or four days or whenever the client asks for them. In addition. All the information is delivered to the client when the house is finished.
