Ni-Fu Ni-Fa Delicatessen Is Here in Costa Rica! Paradise for steak lovers.

If you are ever in the mood for a delicious, melt-in-your mouth, butter like Argentinian styled fillet mignon or other carnivorous delights then you just gotta’ buy the steaks they have at the new Ni-Fu Ni-Fa Delicatessen which is located in Plaza Los Arcos which is just off the main highway that goes into San Jose by the Los Arcos residence in Cariari.

“Ni Fu Ni Fa” is a tem used in Argentina in the Lunfardo dialect and means:

“Neither here nor there.” Or,
“Neither one thing or another.”

Lunfardo is frequently found in the lyrics of tangos, supplying nuances and double-entendres with overtones of sex, drugs, and the criminal underworld.

Argentina has a well deserved reputation for the way they prepare and cook their high quality meats and now you can enjoy these oh! So juicy cuts of meat in Costa Rica buy buying them at Ni-Fu Ni-Fa and taking them hoe to cook exactly the way you love them…

The Awesome Meats at Ni-Fu Ni-Fa:

You can choose from the following cuts of meat, all of which have been imported from the USA:

1. Entrañas which is the ‘outside skirt.’
2. Delomonico which is the ‘rib eye.’
3. Puyaso which is coulotte and finally…
4. Lomito which is the tenderloin or ‘fillet mignon.’

They also sell some delicious chorizos which are plumps sausages which you can buy in regular and picante which are spicy and will soon offer rack as well as leg of lamb all the way from New Zealand.

They are open Monday to Friday from 10am – 7pm.
Friday and Saturday from 10am – 8pm and…
Sunday from 9am – 1pm

My favorite cut of meat at Ni-Fu Ni-Fa is without a doubt the entraña which is so tender and juicy which you can see in the photograph above. We had a very hungry guest with us that night!
