Mail Boxes Etc – A Company To Avoid

It’s hard to say because it’s so unbelievable to most people but in the ten years I have lived here I have only ever had two telephone sales calls.

One cold call every five years or so means life is sweet!

And of course junk mail is practically non-existent too so that’s another bonus of living in Costa Rica but, unfortunately we can’t escape from unsolicited emails and this week, I would like to congratulate Mail Boxes Etc.co.cr for being the one and only Costa Rican company in the last ten years to really piss me off by sending me unsolicited emails again and again and again and again…

It’s not that they even have any creativity, it’s the exact same boring bloody email every time.

At the bottom, their email states that cualquier consulta, estoy a su entera disposición which in brief means that “whatever question you might have, I’m at your service” but, I have emailed them back repeatedly, politely requesting that they stop emailing me which has had no effect whatsoever.

Nobody has responded and, after receiving another five of their emails again this morning I figured we’d help get their name out there to the 18,000 loyal readers of WeLoveCostaRica.com

So if you are looking for a mail-forwarding service in Costa Rica which:

• Sends you the same unsolicited email up to five times a day.
• Refuses to stop sending you unsolicited emails.
• Ignores the emails you send to them.
• Has proven to have non-existent client service skills and …
• Pathetic communications skills.

Then by all means do business with Mail Boxes Etc.co.cr

If, on the other hand you are more like me and prefer companies which listen to their customers – the people who pay their wages – then I would strongly suggest that you do not do business with Mail Boxes Etc.co.cr
