Great news for all movie lovers living in the Jaco area.

Jaco Beach just recently opened the region’s first movie theater which is pretty amazing for a beach town in Costa Rica.

Most of the beach communities in Costa Rica are still very undeveloped, so for Jaco to receive the country’s movie theater at the beach shows just how much the area is growing.

The new cinema has 4 screens, one of which is in 3D. The new Jaco movie theater just opened a couple of weeks ago and so and has been the talk of the town.

I had a chance to go a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed. The screen, sound, and seats are all similar to any cinema in San Jose and tickets are just 2,000 colones ($4)

And don’t be worried if you don’t speak Spanish, typically movies in Costa Rica are in English and feature Spanish subtitles.

The new Jaco Cinema is located in the center of Jaco, just behind the KFC/Quiznos.

Jaco continues to see many new stores, restaurants and amenities that I’ll be sharing with very soon.
