Cost of Living in Jaco, Costa Rica. “We spend about $75 per week on groceries for the two of us…” Free video.
One of the most important parts of making Costa Rica a more affordable place to live is how you choose to live.
Depending on your lifestyle, Costa Rica can be very much more affordable than living in North America.
“We spend about $75 per week on groceries for the two of us…”
One of the biggest keys is your grocery bill. While many North Americans are paying a premium for fresh and organic foods, Costa Rica offers fresh food at a fraction of the price.
The trick of course is buying your food locally and buying it fresh. If you turn around and buy U.S. food products in the supermarkets of Costa Rica it will understandably cost you a lot more – it’s come a long way.
So I wanted to demonstrate just how much more affordable food is in Costa Rica.
In this short video you’ll see I went to several local markets to buy groceries for one full week for my wife and I. We regularly buy enough fresh fruits, vegetables, fresh meats, seafood, and we spend about $75 per week on groceries for the two of us…
I know I could never pull that off back in the United States.
