Situated on over 5 acres of sculpted gardens, VP has an ocean vista that inspires poetry.

The entire resort faces due west, and captures amazing sunsets year-round. Fifty miles of coastline stretch towards the horizon, and the dramatic mountains rise up in the distance, hazed by the ocean air.

The bordering, emerald rainforest skirts down to the water–a symphony of wildlife. Monkeys skirt through the mango trees, and toucans sing their sedative songs from the nearby cecropias.

Within the surrounding gardens are mango trees, banana plants, starfruit, papaya trees, citrus, orchids, and a whole plethora of other tropical flora.

The table has been set; but dinner has yet to be served: VP comes with a private chef, prepared to cook up your favorite dishes, and also introduce you to some savory Costa Rican cuisine.

Also included are a concierge, daily housekeeping, night security, and even Jorge the gardener, ready to serve you a fresh ‘pipa’ from the surrounding palms. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted with a cool refreshment made of tropical fruit.

Villa Pelicano consists of the Main Villa, with 4 ocean-view master bedrooms on the main floor, each with king-sized beds and private baths–and two guest rooms downstairs, one with a queen, and one with three queens.

The outdoor, covered terraces and living area are ample enough to host large events. The upper story faces the open ocean, and has an open area for spa treatments or yoga.

Above the main villa is the ‘Casita’, consisting of two bedrooms and a kitchenette, as well as an outdoor, ocean-view area with hammocks and a table. With a full-time staff, 5 acres, and complete privacy–it’s Manuel Antonio’s ONLY private resort.
