A Christ-centered Environment with a Comprehensive Academic Program. Lighthouse International School was started in 2008 with the vision of “leading out a new generation of children on their life path.”

We are pre-K to 10th grade school that offers excellence in academics combined with a vibrant, Christian environment. Lighthouse welcomes families looking for a private Christian school that develops the whole child: spiritually, academically, socially, and physically.

Our educational program was created to assist parents in the teaching and training of their children. Lighthouse students will graduate educated with a strong academic foundation and a clear moral compass.

As a young school, here are some of the plans for our near future:

We will add grades 11 and 12 over the next two years. We are structuring a high school program that will enable our students to graduate with a U.S. diploma and a Costa Rican diploma.

Lighthouse International School is a candidate school for the Diploma Program. We are pursuing authorization as an IB World School.

These are schools that share a common philosophy — a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Lighthouse believes is important for our students.

We will be adding classrooms and a science lab to our current location. In the distant future we plan to develop a new campus.
