When you live in Costa Rica it can sometimes be a blessing and a curse.

You’ll find that when you first make the move to Costa Rica you might instantly get popular among your friends and family back home, especially if you come from pretty far North.  

Don’t be surprised to being bombarded with many requests to visit from friends you haven’t heard form for years, and of course they’ll rely on you to host and help with the ins and outs of Costa Rica.  

Its hard to blame them, if I was still living back in the US and had friends or family living in Costa Rica I would be making every excuse I could to pay them a visit.  

For my wife and I though we always enjoy when friends and family come to visit.  Besides getting out and enjoying all of the area attractions and activities it allows us to remind ourselves how good we have it.  

Like with anything its easy to take things for granted, but its great to remember that people all over the world come thousands of miles just to visit Costa Rica, to enjoy great weather, surfing, fishing, hiking, and great food, all things that we fortunately get to experience every day.  

We recently had some friends visit from Washington State, here are a few photos, if you can’t tell we all had a great time, nothing special, just another vacation, another day in Costa Rica.
