Last Tuesday a very drunk 32 year old Nicaraguan construction worker decided to go swimming in the wrong place.

In fact, he chose what is arguably the single worst location in the entire country because this specific spot on the river Tárcoles is famous for crocodile tours, where tourists watch as their tour guide throws raw, whole chickens to the giant reptiles waiting in the water.

Jorge had recently lost his construction job and had been drinking guaro heavily prior to making his final decision about swimming in the river.

One witness said that: “It was impressive to see more than 20 crocodiles dismember him. A dominant male had hold of him and was shaking him in under the water. The others around were waiting to rip off his body parts … Sadder still is the fact that it was impossible to help. ”

Three days later Jorge’s head was found eight kilometers away on the beach at Playa Azul de Tárcoles.
