So these were some of the comments I heard from the very few people who knew that I had received an unsolicited offer to buy my website and I guess all comments are valid to a point.

My ‘baby’ WeLoveCostaRica.com has been around since 2003 and it has an enviable reputation for protecting Costa Rica real estate buyers and, an impeccable track record recommending quality real estate developers with a proven track record of delivering quality real estate and showcases a small network of trustworthy, bilingual, reference-checked Realtors.

You can call me crazy if you like but I cannot sell my baby to just anyone so when the attorney in the U.S. confirmed that this potential buyer had previous, somewhat ‘colorful’ business connections – even though we saw proof that he had some serious cash on hand – I stopped all communications.

More money for the attorneys …., again 🙂

Of course money is important but the one thing that continues to make me REALLY mad is watching good, honest and hard-working people losing their retirement money getting ripped off by unscrupulous fothermuckers selling ocean view land without the ocean view and, I promise you that if I have anything to do with it, NOBODY will use my site to do that …

And, like the banksters who have hurt us all while continuing to rake in billions of dollars in bonuses, these crooks never seem to get caught or end up in jail either!

A dynamic, creative entrepreneur(s) could recoup their investment very much quicker and, so you know I would prefer to stay on board for an extended period of time to make sure everything goes smoothly… With thousands of readers relying on this website for quality information about Costa Rica, I want this to succeed.

So yeah! Like most businesses, WeLoveCostaRica.com is for sale “if” the right, honest buyer – with good intentions – comes along. For a good honest buyer, I may even consider selling at a small discount to the asking price. Please note I said a small discount 🙂

If not, no problem! I don’t work that hard any more anyway, I’m in no hurry and we’re still having a great time loving living in Costa Rica, a land of stunning scenery, sunshine and smiles.
