Insurance News For Expats in Costa Rica
I have some great information to share and a little heart to heart advice this month… both professionally and on a personal level, (meaning each of us).
This month I want to share some AWESOME NEWS… I got married on June 13th to my best friend and confidant Dawn! We spent 2 weeks in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and had a great time. We visited Cigar Factories and Rum Distilleries and Islands like the one in the Corona Beer commercials, but nicer and
I had time to think… plenty of time! So, me like many start thinking of things in the past, I particularly focused on REGRET….
We all have it at certain times in our life…could we have done things differently whether it was a personal, work or social issue and the conclusion I came up with, “Yes, I’ve done some stupid things in my past, but I have time to still correct those that I have some control.”
- Relationships with family members and old acquaintances
- Something that just doesn’t sit right in the pit of your conscience
- Things that you’ve started and never finished, which may have disappointed yourself and someone close to you.
There are many I’m sure and I also figured out during my life what I’m proud of and can honestly say I have no regret for… That’s the positive side of the coin that I think most of us don’t let shine.
Lesson: Until you are 6 feet under, you have a choice to make a difference in your life and in others’ lives, by either rectifying your past regret, finishing up on something that you left incomplete, (like I’ve decided I’m going to REALLY take time to play my guitars well), or doing nothing and complaining and blaming others on why something wasn’t done.
So, little things like planting a garden, building a model, inviting your jerk of a neighbor over for a drink, picking up the phone and reaching out to a family member or knucklehead of a friend that may have done you wrong and scarred a cool relationship… It’s your call and if your energies don’t always produce the results you desired… MOVE ON and expend those positive moments down some other road!
