I just got back from a delightful weekend in Jaco on the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica with Shawn Fletcher, his lovely wife Hannah and their two adorable small children.

Over the last ten years, Shawn and Hannah have watched as Jaco has grown from a dusty, somewhat neglected beach town into a sophisticated, more of a resort location…

Sure Jaco has always had great surfing, but now there are more accommodation choices than ever before, you will find some terrific restaurants – you gotta’ try the Eggs Benedict with Crab Cakes with a nice spicy (picante) sauce and fresh fruit at the Green Room Cafe and, for genuine Italian cuisine cooked by genuine Italians from Italy (duh!) you must visit Amancio’s and for a delicious tenderloin steak stop at the Graffiti Cafe and Wine Bar – and there’s even a big new luxurious casino for those of you who think you’re lucky!

I don’t know if Shawn and Hannah consider themselves ‘lucky’ but as you’ll see from my new short video, they certainly feel ‘blessed’ living with their young children in Jaco.
