Go to any hotel and the best views have the highest rates. Look at real estate in cities like Manhattan or Los Angeles and you will see that rent and real estate can cost 20-50% more when you have a great view.

It’s no surprise that with property in Costa Rica it is no different. We are fortunate that the scenery is so stunning here that almost every property in Costa Rica has a beautiful view and just like everywhere else the premium view of views are ocean view properties.

Because of Costa Rica’s terrain and the fact that most of the coastal areas remain undeveloped it is very much more difficult to find the oceanview property in Costa Rica that some might expect.

Beachfront property in Costa Rica provide little view unless you are on the direct beachfront, while most areas elevated enough to get those great oceanviews have unpaved roads and lack infrastructure and constructed homes. This obviously makes oceanview property in Costa Rica that much more valuable.

Just like anywhere else you will pay more for oceanview property in Costa Rica, but it will always be the first property to rent out and the type of property to appreciate the most.
