A few of the door handles have been installed, the lamps on the terrace ceiling are fixed and the toilet now sits in the correct spot although it still has to be fixed in place.

Outside at the rear of the house they have started putting in the log wood panels for the cochera (garage area), the bodega (storage area for firewood) and the pila (the place where the outside sink and the washer and dryer will be located).

What you can see in these photographs is just the bodega (for firewood) and the pila, the garage area will come next…

Inside the house, Julio has now finished building the fireplace and the chimney up through the second floor office and through the roof. He has thankfully followed the measurement as specified by the Brick Industry Association that I gave him although the outside design is not quite was detailed in the photograph that was left with him… But this can be changed.

Next week they will start laying the river rocks onto the walls of the fireplace and the chimney. We are ‘hoping’ that it will look as good we have envisioned…
