Costa Rica Car Rental in Manuel Antonio.
The frequently visited beach town of Manuel Antonio welcomes Vamos Rent-A-Car, bringing its high-quality customer service to the area.
The combination of this rental car operator with one of the Pacific coast’s best hotels creates a win-win situation for visitors seeking a transport and accommodation solution for their vacation.
There are four times as many hotels in the Manuel Antonio area than in the rental agency’s previous location in Uvita/Dominical and the office is much closer to the airport in Quepos too, making Vamos’ decision to relocate an easy one. There is a wonderful panoramic overlook across the waves from the new, open-air office, which is situated right next to the El Avion Restaurant and Bar (part of the Costa Verde Hotel), across the street from the Restaurante Gato Negro.
This particular location was decided after a meeting (set up by one of Vamos’ clients) between the management of the Costa Verde and Vamos Rent-A-Car. Since both businesses share similar values, a flourishing partnership arose. Other rent-a-car operators have approached the Costa Verde about leasing this location, so Vamos feels privileged to have been invited to set up shop here.
El Avion is quite literally an airplane, but renovated from its use as a weapon of war to a symbol of the pleasures in life. It is a highlight on the coastal road to the national park. At the bar, one can enjoy a cocktail and watch the spectacular sunset over the Pacific Ocean.
Tourists have flocked to this area for decades, drawn to its nature and postcard picturesque beaches, without having to travel too far from the international airport in the country’s capital. A Vamos representative can chauffer you from the local airport in Quespos if you’d prefer not to drive the two hours from San Jose, or deliver your rental vehicle to your hotel, so you wouldn’t even have to leave the pool!
Nearly a third of Costa Rica is made up of protected areas, but the Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the most visited with over 150,000 people entering through its gates annually, attracted by its wildlife and ease of access. The three beaches within the park are well-marked and visitors are surprised to see monkeys gazing down from the palm trees and iguanas sunning themselves on the sands. Do note that the park is closed on Mondays, so plan your itinerary accordingly to avoid any disappointment.
Forbes magazine ranked the park as number eleven in its twelve most beautiful national parks in the world for 2011 and Trip Advisor lists it as the only Costa Rican beach on its 2015 compilation of the twenty-five most beautiful beaches in the world.
The nearby Ballena National Park is a great day trip as it is only about an hour’s car ride. The beach extends into a sandbank, shaped just like a whale’s tail and whales can be seen from the shores as they gather during their breeding season — hence the park’s name of Ballena (whale). Surfers and beachcombers alike can also head down the same coastal road, Route 34, to check out the waves at the beaches of Uvita and Dominical — just bring a board!
Vamos’ relocation is a real bonus as the whole region may be reached by rental car, allowing for the personal freedoms that buses cannot provide. Stop by the office between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday or between 8 am and 12 noon on the weekends. “Lower Rates, More Smiles.” That’s Vamos Rent-A-Car, the preferred car rental company of We Love Costa Rica!
