Buenos dias from a stunning day here in the ‘Rich Coast’ of Costa Rica. One of those ‘sunrays dancing in your eyes,’ great to be alive mornings.

A good day perhaps to ride a Harley Davidson around the four corners of this ‘paradise’ called Costa Rica?

I stopped in at the local Harley Davidson dealership to drool over their Buells (Hmm! That would make a good slogan …) and ‘hogs’ and asked about their rental program… They had special offer where you could rent a Harley Davidson FXD Dyna Super Glide from Friday through Monday lunchtime…

Harley Davidson – Day Trip

This gives you three full days of cruising and posing and two nights which is enough time to see a lot of this very big, small country.

On your first day, you might ride your Harley Davidson from San Jose out to the Poas Volcano, visit Sarchi which is probably the arts, crafts and furniture capital of Costa Rica and then find some quaint little place to rest your slightly rattled, but content bones…

On Saturday, maybe ride out to ‘La Marina’ animal rescue centre near Ciudad Quesada where every wild animal’s friend Juan Jose looks after some Costa Rican wild creatures from margays, ocelots, jaguars, tapirs, spider monkeys, capuchin monkeys to an awe inspiring ‘Harpy’ eagle.

Stop for a ‘fresh from the pond’ trout lunch around the corner, then glide onto Arenal where you will hopefully see the red hot lava flowing down the side of the volcano while you enjoy your sunset cocktails at one of the many resorts that sit literally at the foot of this impressive, very active volcano.

Or ride down to the world famous Manuel Antonio National Park, where you can enjoy the perfect combination of a white-sand beach lined with lush vegetation and on the way back, stop at Carara Biological Reserve, an excellent choice for a traveler’s first experience in a tropical forest.
