Rob Goodell went to high school in Houston Texas and received an Associate in Arts (Journalism) from Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, California.

He and his Costa Rican wife have been living in Costa Rica since January 2007. Their son Jimmy was born in 2009 and he confesses that: “I really couldn’t imagine raising him anywhere else.”

Rob Goodell explains that: “Costa Rica is my home. To tell my story, it would be impossible to avoid the subject of surfing which has brought me to such places as Australia, Mexico, Tahiti, Hawaii, Panama, Nicaragua and of course, Costa Rica.

I first fell in love with Costa Rica in 1992. It was a lot different back then. It was a true adventure and I relished “roughing it,” horrific roads, being forced to learn Spanish since very few knew how, sleeping on the ground in a tent for months on end in the search of perfect waves.

While I would not change those old days for anything, I have to admit that I prefer sleeping under a fan on my king size bed at this point in my life and seeing this country slowly evolve.

Since 2004, I have made my living through helping people buy and sell beach properties. Focusing primarily on second homes which typically are places the owners enjoy when they have the free time and rent out when they are not there.

Hard work, experience, honesty and putting your clients needs ahead of your own are what truly defines an exceptional real estate agent. I understand the importance of what I am doing.
