I am grateful for the prices but our readers should always remember that forgetting taxes and insurance (where applicable) for a minute the, cost of transporting these items from the U.S. to Costa Rica has to be considered and for most items (not all – especially heavily subsidized products in the U.S.) this will normally make them more expensive than locally grown/produced items.
The cost of living has certainly increased here but as you will know, after you’ve been on the ground for a few months in any new location, you will quickly find and gravitate to places where you will find freshest products at the most attractive prices …
