Having done several environmental “studies” it is readily apparent (to me) that an invasive commercial activity in an environmentally sensitive area in a country promoting eco-tourism would be difficult to mitigate, approve, and build, and operate. A 5 minute study results only in a “No” answer. And $1MM is peanuts for an airport study.

Bogino, I could not agree with you more. The OSA is one of the most beautiful places in the world. One of the reasons we bought property in the southern zone was the close proximity the Osa. It would be a travesty if an airport was ever built in that area. The new road has done enough to make it accessible.[/quote]
I agree, the Osa is beautiful! But the paved road is already messing things up! I have a house in Dos Brazos on the border of Corcovado and this year the Cabina prices and the food prices in Puerto Jimenez are way up! Progress changes everything!
