    Well I’m not sure if anyone can provide some insight for me or not but in our little development we have a drive way that will service six homes (hopefully / eventually). The road terminates at the end of the property.

    We have been asked to change the location of the entrance which we did, then we were asked to change it back which we did and now that we are in the final stages of getting our D1 we are being told that the drive has to be 8.5 meters wide instead of 8 and that our cul-de-sac has to be 17 meters in diameter instead of 12?

    I have always assumed the the less property devoted to drive ways the better, especiall since the most cars that could ever be on the five acres is 12?

    Any insight would be appreciated because our topographer, lawyer, enviromental enginner and builder all just reply – that’s the way it is.

    (I should mention that the property will be in a Condominium Regime – which I know designates parking but I have never read anything regarding road widths.)
