My husband and I are thinking of moving to Pavones. If you live there or have been there can you explain pros and cons about the area. Does it rain a lot there? Are people friendly? Is there medical clinics or care in the area? What is the status with internet service there?
Can you buy basic produce there or do you need to go to a bigger town. Is there a lot of foreigners there or is it mostly ticos.
What about bugs is it bad there? I am not a worry head but just want to know what to expect.
How easy it is to bring a big dog to the country?
Thanks Pips
Dear PIPS,

Cheers!

I’m not sure how much help this is, but I just got back from a week out there in Golfito, I guess an hour from Pavones. That’s the nearest town. Good supermarket there, bank, medical facilities, everything you’d expect to see in a small town. Everyone out there seems to have internet servie. Not sure about Pavones though. Golfito’s where you’ll be doing your business. Small scattering of gringos, but not much going on, very remote there in Pavones.
