We are planning a trip to CR and are considering staying at the aparethotel Roma in Heredia. The prices are right, the pictures on the website look great. Has anyone stayed there or had any experience with them. Thanks
Great Place! I have stayed there on numerous trips, after a reccomendation by my professor. It is located in a quiet neighborhood away from Central Heredia, but still within walking distance. It is run by a nice Chinese family. Nidia is wonderful and will take great care of you. Ask for the room by the office, you can sit on the patio and sip a cold one.
Thanks for the input. We are retired and plan on using the aparthotel Roma as our base for exploring CR. We will be in CR for a month. Would you think that this would be a good place to use as a base of operations so to speak. We are retired..sounds like you are a student, would you still reccommend for someone who “might” be a little bit older (late 50’s) than you??
I wouldn’t say that I am a normal “student”. I am a 30 something grad student. I do think it would be a great “base of operations” for the Central Valley (Poas, Sarchi, etc.), much, much better than San Jose. You probably want to move elsewhere if you plan on exploring other areas more remote. I am sure that they would take care of your things if you leave them there during your treks. Tell them a student of Doug from TN recommended them.
Thanks again. We will probably stay there. They quoted me such a cheap monthly rate that we will just book for an entire month and leave everything there while we explore.
