    my two cents: if you intend to do much with video, and any other serious graphics, I’d say you probably shouldn’t look at any laptop. It is my impression that most laptops just don’t have the video/graphic cards or the monitor to handle (for example) HD movies. That said, I seem to remember some of the very best computer video I’ve ever seen on a Mac desktop.

    Thanks John! We are also keeping our PC with lots and lots of storage, etc. This is just to help us with our new laptop service!

    We have friends who are using a Windows version of the Punch architectural design software on their MacBook. They have the Windows “interpreter” (somebody help me here) and it seems to run just fine.
