There is a rumor that there are blueberry farms in them thar hills somewhere and that the berries are grown for export.
Anyone have any idea if this is true and, if it is, where “in them thar hills” can one find the farms??
Don’t know about the blueberries, but wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your column in amcostarica.com. Very informative!
[If you find them I would like to know. they have black and red raspberries at the ferria. never seen CR blueberries. Have a hard time finding Coconut oil or Coconut milk. In fact cant find Coconut oil at all in Jaco
The coconut oil I buy is from Ecococr.com and you can see where they sell their products here.
I buy coconut oil from the Green Center in Santa Ana which I know is expensive compared to what you can pay en el campo.
My wife buys frozen blueberries from PriceSmart which she uses in her smoothies …
Hope that helps.

Thank you Lyncota. Its fun to write too 🙂
Unfortunately, those frozen berries are only good smushed up in smoothies. They are terrible in pies.
